14 minAseel and Um Qusai, two Palestinian women from different generations, are connected by the threads of traditional embroidery. Starting in a thread shop, we follow them into their daily lives where each stitch becomes a form of expression, a way to preserve heritage, and a tool for storytelling. Um Qusai, from Al-Baqa’a refugee camp, sees embroidery as both a livelihood and a symbol of identity. Aseel uses it as a teaching tool, passing on Palestinian stories to girls her age. Alongside other women and girls from their community, they share knowledge, memories, and meaning—stitch by stitch. Through quiet, intimate moments, the film explores how embroidery weaves together memory, culture, and intergenerational connection.
