Apash is the name of the documentary's director and Antonio Abreu, a veteran and eccentric Spanish adventurer who travels along the Marañón River in the Jivaro region of the Peruvian Amazon. Through dialogue and mutual understanding, they attempt to create a documentary that will help the indigenous communities in their struggle for survival. This is a crucial moment as these communities grapple with industrial privatization and the exploitation of the Amazon rainforest.
